I don't normally write reviews, but I saw that someone had given this place one star. This is my closest neighbourhood grocery, & I like it a lot. It gets fresh produce in a few times a week (tho not every day), & quite a lot of it. It's got a carnicería with fresh meat & fish in the back. It's got a great selection of imported good—including a significant selection of frozen goods—from Mexico & Central America, & it's got an okay selection of Middle Eastern foods. The owners are Yemeni, & not all speak great English, but everyone can at least get by in English & Spanish both, & the Yemeni staff, of course, also speak Arabic. It's a fine, friendly place. *One* reviewer thinks she got yelled at *one* time… My first guess would be that that was a cultural misunderstanding, but even if it wasn't, that shouldn't earn a nice neighbourhood store a one-star review.
I love this neighborhood market and get most of my fresh produce here. The carnicería in the back always has high-quality, fresh meats, cheeses, and cremas. I highly recommend this spot to all my neighbors— support local businesses!
